  12. CD-Gate is a CD Player which displays titles, songs,
  13. movements, composers, performers, etc... and manages your
  14. collection of CDs.
  15.  
  16. - CD-Gate can play any CD as long as it contains at least
  17.   ONE audio track.
  18. - CD-Gate facilitates the entry of the data describing the
  19.   the contents of the CD:
  20.     - Various genres are supported:
  21.         - Classical, Opera
  22.         - Pop/Rock, Jazz
  23.         - Litterature, Theatre
  24.         - Etc.
  25.     - Composers (& Lyricists)
  26.         - A large database of classical composers is included
  27.     - Main Titles (Symphony, Concertos, Opera, Album, Play, etc.)
  28.     - Track Titles (Movement, Aria, Songs, etc.)
  29.         - Auto Movement-Numbering for classical CDs
  30.     - Performers
  31. - Displays of the Table-Of-Contents
  32. - Displays of your complete collection
  33. - Search by field - and cross referencing
  34. - Editing capability for any field (registration required)
  35. - CD controls (Play, Rewind, Track Seek, etc.)
  36. - Seek feature by pointing to the gauge
  37. - Time displays for each track (playing/total)
  38. - Time displays for the CD (playing/total)
  39. - Invoke mixer

  47.     - IBM PC compatible machine with a CD/CD-ROM player;
  48.     - MS Windows Version 3.1 or later;
  49.     - Microsoft (or compatible) mouse;
  50.     - Display minimum: 540x480 x 16 colors;
  51.     - MCI.VBX and THREED.VBX in the \windows\system dir. (incl.)
  52.     - VBRUN300.DLL in the \windows\system dir.

  59.     1) The installation kit is cd_gate.exe (with an underscore)
  60.        The executable program is cd-gate.exe (with a dash)
  61. After you've run cd_gate.exe (to produce cd-gate.exe), you
  62. should delete cd_gate.exe from your hard drive to reclaim
  63. the space. (But don't delete cd-gate.exe!)
  64.     
  65.     2) If you wish, you may delete cd_db0.txt to cd_db4.txt
  66. to start your database from scratch. But do NOT delete
  67. cd_comp.txt (the composer's database). If you do delete
  68. the data in cd_db?.txt and you happen to have one of the CDs
  69. already in my database, you'll have to re-enter its data.
  70. If you keep these files, you might be lucky: who knows, you
  71. and I may have some of the same albums!

  106. The Software source code, object code and associated materials
  107. are all Copyrighted ⌐ 1996 PRS Corporation.

  109. PRS grants to the user a nonexclusive license to use this Software 
  110. solely for its internal private purposes. The user shall not 
  111. distribute, sublicense, resell, or otherwise transfer
  112. for any consideratione, the Software or any modification or
  113. derivation thereof, either alone or in conjunction with any other
  114. product or program without express prior written permission from
  115. PRS.  However, the shareware setup kit may be freely distributed
  116. with the express understanding that the cd-gate.ini file
  117. (if in possession of the user) and/or the user's or anyone else's
  118. registration code shall NOT be duplicated or
  119. given to any third party, under any circumstance.
